Hello, I am DAVID KENNETH ABOAGYE, A 36-Year old Cloud and Devops Engineer with over 8 years of experienced DEVOPS || SOFWARE ENG. || DATA SCIENTIST
Personal History
A Dynamic, great communicator, self-motivated leadership, adaptable, strong work ethic, assertive, multi-tasking, a team
leader, result-oriented, and driven professional with over 8 years of experience as a Devops Engineer specializing in software
testing, automation and deployment.
Understanding how systems work and operate led me in to the path of becoming a software engineer with over 8 years of experience. Much of my experience have been garnered through the completion of project based work through remote work and working for other key organizations. Software testing and implementation was a major problem for most of our projects. I endeavoured to understand tools and concepts that would make life easier for the developer and organizations to save cost. This idea and initiative birthed me into the world of cloud infrastructure, software testing and automation, and deployment into production. My Journey has been tough as new tools and concepts are being advanced and improved upon on a daily basis. My motivation that helped my to be an experienced Devops engineer is found in the quote below “To successfully implement continuous delivery, you need to change the culture of how an entire organization views software development efforts.”
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Key works done in diverse organizations
- Design of cloud architectures for customers looking to migrate or develop new PAAS, IAAS, OR hybrid solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure or Amazon web services (AWS)
- Used Jenkins pipelines to drive all micro services builds out to the Docker registry and then deployed a section of them using the Kubernetes platform. Pods were created and managed
- Setup repos on Azure Git, merging code from develop branch to master branch and make it ready for deployment.
- Migrated legacy applications to Microsoft Azure Cloud PaaS by setting up CI/CD pipelines on Azure-DevOps
- Creation and maintenance of SQL Pools, Cluster Pools in Azure Synapse to support enterprise pipeline
processes.
• Researched and implementation of ETL scheduling and orchestration tools and processes.
• Developed and tested APIs to support proprietary web application development using Python and C#.
• Provided support on creating, managing and maintaining enterprise data, including the ability to
incorporate policies and
• procedures for managing and sharing data through the data life cycle.
• Research and implementation of Spark Core processes to handle processing of on-premise ETL solutions
• Supported backend development through developing and testing .NET data access layers, APIs, and client
